	Orkney IFA is a member of the UK Social Investment Forum. UKSIF promotes responsible investment and other forms of finance that support sustainable economic development, enhance quality of life and safeguard the environment. UKSIF also seeks to ensure that individual and institutional investors can reflect their values in their investments, should they wish.
	We've been very happy to support to work of Global Rescue Mission - Sierra Leone who work tirelessly to improve the lot of some of the poorest people in the world. We made a donation to their fund raising in 2008 and stay in close touch with Jackie Besant and Kirsty Wood who run the Charity. Visit their website at www.grm-sl.org for an insight into their work.
	Ivan Houston (on the left) receives his prize of a bottle of 12 year-old Highland Park malt whisky from Steve Smith. Ivan was one of the entrants to our Prize Draw. Entrants were invited to submit a question about the economic turmoil we're seeing all around, and how it affects Orkney. You can see the questions here. We hope he enjoys his prize.
